About the concert
With "Tiny Little Boat," Anja Om Plus presents a multi-layered concept album that revolves around an existential question: the desire to find a place in another person's life. Between vocal polyphony, chamber-like intimacy, and jazzy structures, the album tells of closeness, longing, vulnerability – and of the quiet, inner rage when that place is denied. It's about adaptation, hesitation, bending oneself – and the fear of only being loved when diminishing oneself. Yet "Tiny Little Boat" equally tells of rebelling against this very dynamic. Of the courage not to make oneself smaller than one is. Of self-empowerment. And of how powerful it can be to stop denying oneself – even if that means going overboard.
