On stage, the extraordinary chemistry between the four musicians becomes physical. The great trust they have in each other creates room for freedom, genuine vulnerability – and playfulness! With incredible sensitivity to dynamics, they stretch songs, challenge, even provoke through deliberate silence, before asserting with unexpected power and urgency: this is a band that means business. With multiple awards—including a nomination for the Austrian Amadeus Music Awards (AT), the audience award at Jazz Festival Avignon (FR), and selection for the Netherlands' largest showcase festival Popronde (NL)—ELSA has built a strong international presence and tours regularly throughout Europe. In 2025, the band performed concerts in renowned venues including Porgy & Bess, the Vienna Concert Hall, and as part of the Vienna Festival, as well as recording sessions at Abbey Road Studios in London.
