Language drips melodiously from mouths, flowing upstream toward the decommissioned water tower. Oscillating between excess and scarcity, danger and fascination, spitzwegerich invites you to a musical and visual dive. In the Water Tower Favoriten, the collective spitzwegerich traces the element once stored there and explores the body as a water reservoir as well as the "body of water." Gundi Feyrer's text becomes fluid in Nicholas Morrish's composition, meandering through layerings and compressions as it spirals up the tower; the libretto foams and bubbles in the acoustically striking architecture. Water is broken down into its states of matter and translated into language, music, movement, and images. Audiences climb the stairs and encounter hanging objects, marionettes, dripping sounds, and voices that only become locatable through the journey. An emergence from apparent, primordial chaos.
