SUMMARY:Hermanos Gutiérrez: Los Ojos Del Condor Tour
LOCATION:FrischLuft-Bühne
DESCRIPTION:Alejandro and Estevan Gutiérrez: a Swiss father\, an Ecuadorian mother\, eight years apart in age – and an instrumental guitar sound that The New York Times Magazine once described as "instrumental guitarscapes that sound like a psychedelic spaghetti western." Six albums in just over a decade\, and still no other duo sounds quite like them. With "Los Ojos Del Condor" – released September 25 on Easy Eye Sound – the brothers make a deliberate shift toward the roots of their Ecuadorian mother and Peruvian great-grandmother. Dan Auerbach (The Black Keys) produced the album in Nashville – the trio's third collaboration. The vast prairie gives way to Andean rhythms: Ecuadorian folk music\, Peruvian-Colombian cumbia\, Argentine milonga. For the first time in the studio\, Alejandro picks up the charango\, while Estevan stays true to the nylon-string guitar his father gave him at age eight. The title borrows from the condor\, Ecuador's national symbol: a view from above that reveals beauty through distance. "Canto Andino\," the first single\, enters this sonic universe with a simple guitar figure before slide guitar and organ drive the piece wide open – changeable as weather in the high Andes. "Tren Macho" evokes the legendary railway line from Huancayo to Huancavelica\; "Yanantin" is dedicated to the concept of complementary duality. The album cover came about almost by chance: while traveling in Peru in spring 2026\, Estevan photographed two women with llamas on a hillside on analog film. This time\, the brothers themselves aren't pictured\, but rather the culture they feel connected to. "It's not always about us\," says
