The story of a Viennese prostitute, told by herself. Looking back, the old woman recounts her debauched adventures while simultaneously revealing the inner world of the young girl she once was. Yet the path to becoming a prostitute is followed by a lifetime, and the Mutzenbacher woman develops ambition, pursues lofty plans, and manages not to step over dead bodies in the process.
