Few artists manage to weave the political and personal into their songs as movingly as she does. In her life\, she is a songwriter\, choir director\, and founder of a collective housing project. Her music spans folk and indie rock. She draws equally naturally from the work of East German songwriters like Gerhard Schöne and the American sound of Pixies.
