And after Helmut Qualtinger\, who left us 40 years ago\, Austrian satire was fundamentally different too. Not only his own work\, but most of the song lyrics that others wrote for him bear the unmistakably "Qualtingeresque" mark due to his influence. This evening brings works from the pens and repertoire of Qualtinger and some of his contemporaries like Kurt Sowinetz\, H.C. Artmann\, and Gerhard Bronner back to life—their biting social criticism proving unfortunately more timeless than we would wish. No registration required!
