The association Filmzuckerl, together with the City of Waidhofen, invites you to the 16th Schlosshof Cinema as part of Lower Austria's summer cinema initiative. On four Tuesday evenings in August, extraordinary films and special cinematic experiences from around the world are presented. The series concludes on Tuesday, August 25, with "Sunny Dancer," a touching and life-affirming coming-of-age comedy. Director George Jaques tells a story about friendship, first love, and the courage to enjoy life despite all challenges with humor and sensitivity. Bella Ramsey, known from the hit series The Last of Us, excels in the lead role. Seventeen-year-old Ivy has survived cancer and wants nothing more to do with her past. However, her overprotective parents send her to a summer camp for teenage cancer survivors. What initially seems like the worst summer of Ivy's life soon becomes an unforgettable time full of new friendships, first love, and shared adventures. Together with a group of young outsiders, she discovers that life often holds its greatest surprises when you embrace it.
