Plot
What happens when a man suddenly loses everything he's defined himself by? In Josef Hader's acclaimed tragicomedy, the life of Viennese music critic Georg falls apart when he unexpectedly loses his job after decades. Instead of telling his wife Johanna the truth, he gets caught up in lies, humiliations, and increasingly absurd revenge plans against his former boss. Between classical music, nocturnal sabotage operations, repressed life crises, and the rusty roller coaster "Wilde Maus" in Vienna's Prater, which he wants to bring back to life together with his old school friend Erich, a story unfolds that is as funny as it is touching—about wounded pride, failed dreams, and the search for a new beginning.
