Dachstein Krippenstein is a hiking region and ski area in the UNESCO World Heritage area Hallstatt-Dachstein/Salzkammergut. In summer it offers cave tours (Giant Ice Cave, Mammoth and Koppenbrüller caves), viewing platforms such as 5fingers and the World Heritage Spiral, and hiking opportunities on the Dachstein Plateau. In winter, skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, ski touring and ice climbing are available, and there are mountain restaurants and huts.
