Naturpark Weißbach

The nature park covers 2,778 hectares in the Salzburg limestone high Alps and is characterized by traditionally managed alpine pastures, mountain meadows, gorges and moors. Since 2007, the nature park has protected the biological diversity of this alpine cultural landscape and offers themed trails and environmental education on topics such as species conservation and climate change. The nature park and the municipality of Weißbach are designated as a Dark Sky Park.
