About the concert
The Ebelsberg Music Society was founded in 1923. After some turbulent post-war years, particularly in the early 1960s when the association's dissolution was repeatedly discussed, it was largely thanks to the dedicated chairman Johann Reisinger that things continued. From the late 1970s onwards, both musically and in terms of membership, things went steadily uphill. Under the direction of the then still very young conductor Josef Schütz, the number of musicians was almost tripled to a current membership of approximately 50 active players. In addition, there are several junior musicians still in training.
