"Music that always wears eyeliner on the top and bottom and basically puts eyeliner everywhere. It's quite beautifully DARK WAVE, we repeat: POST PUNK." (skug) With their debut EP titled "I", Elastic Skies released a mini-album last year for catharsis, sadness, and dancing. An attempt to reorganize their own thoughts and ideas and confront themselves with repressed emotions. Music as therapy, expressed through dark, dreamy guitars and noisy reverb trails. An 80s drum computer—sometimes stomping, sometimes delicate—is never absent, to express discontent and sadness. Catharsis through pop music, specifically through a blend of dark wave, post-punk, and synthpop, also forms the approach for the second EP "II" (October 2025). Themes such as gentrification, patriarchal violence, and self-optimization are integral parts of the project. The unmistakable voice and synth sounds of Nora Blöchl and the wavy electric guitars of producer Patrick Tilg hold the sound structure tightly together. Genre: Dark Wave, Post-Punk
