10 Years of "Hirsch Fisch" On November 12, 2026, Vienna's Fluc celebrates the 10th anniversary of "Hirsch Fisch" with an all-star party featuring Lina Widmoser, Haldis Scheicher, Rainer Krispel, Gottfried Gfrerer, Daniel Lercher, Paul Braunsteiner, and Wolfgang Hammer. Two original scenes from the musical work of Norbert Trummer and Klaus Tschabitzer, who have formed the duo "Hirsch Fisch" for 10 years: 1.) A wedding in an Upper Austrian provincial village in the 1990s. The quirky band "Scheffenbichler," featuring Trummer and Tschabitzer, plays while locals unexpectedly take to the dance floor. Late at night after countless beers, a local responds to whether they enjoyed the music: "Well, we're not like that. Main thing is it's loud—if it's out of tune, we don't care." 2.) Music critic Christian Schachinger of Der Standard noted that the band had tuned their instruments purely out of politeness. Both arrived in Vienna from Styrian province in the early 1980s as post-punk gained momentum. They met through fellow student Dieter Preisl at the Academy of Fine Arts.
