KOMMANDO ELEFANT / DAS SCHOTTISCHE PRINZIP
KOMMANDO ELEFANT With indie-electronic band Kommando Elefant, anything is possible – somewhere between everyday life, apocalypse and affect. Between consumer criticism, system despair, self-ironic humor and soundtracks for the next day-rave, you always end up at one big theme: love – in all its beautiful, complicated and sometimes desolate facets. And yet there remains the certainty that the sun will kiss us again someday. Alongside brand new songs from the album Desolate Gefühle coming spring 2027, in a charmingly ramshackle, hymnic indie-electronic style, classic hits like Alaska and Wir sprengen Krokodile are of course not missing. Because for all its system criticism and thoughtfulness, a Kommando Elefant concert does one thing above all: deliver real fun. So: don't forget your dancing shoes! Kommando Elefant was founded in 2007, has released seven albums since and sampled radio airplay with several singles. One of their recent successes: the 2022 single "Ich halt die Zeit an" from the album Sieben was voted among the best 30 songs of the year by Radio Berlin. In spring 2026, they played a now legendary gig at Radiokulturhaus (Vienna) – the recording is still available on ORF III. "As always with Kommando, pop is paired with an enigmatic smile."
