Krowodnrock concert on the occasion of 50 years of the National Minorities Act – With: Bruji, Bališ, Kacavida, Elektrikeri. Not retiring just yet?? Quite the opposite: Bruji are still going strong! 46 years after the release of their debut LP "Gemma Krowodn schaun," one wonders what happened back in 1980? Why did a band title their first album like that? The intention of the "Godfathers of Krowodnrock" remains unchanged: to counteract assimilation and language loss among young Croatians. And above all: to recognize, live, and pass on the value of bilingualism and multilingualism! Bruji still carry the Krowodnrock torch, but have already passed it to younger generations: such as Kacavida and Elektrikeri. Both acts will be heard this evening. Kacavida returns with full power, and Elektrikeri engages audiences with new material! The Carinthian-Slovenian band Bališ graces us again at KUGA – on the road for over 25 years in the name of rock and roll! A musical rock gem of intercultural understanding. Not just between Slovenia and Carinthia. It's about music, not geo- or ethnographic narrow-mindedness. Deeply rooted in the rock and blues of the 1960s and 1970s, enriched with ingredients of the new millennium and influenced by currents absorbed by each band member. Last year, the band celebrated their 25th anniversary with a great concert; a live CD will be released in autumn.
