Kurz.Film.Zuckerl – Short Film Festival 2026 Saturday, November 14, 2026, 7:30 PM Short film festival with jury and audience awards On Saturday, November 14, the 7th edition of the Kurz.Film.Zuckerl short film festival takes place at Filmbühne Waidhofen/Ybbs. Both a jury prize and an audience award will be presented again. The Filmzuckerl association invites you at 7:30 PM to the seventh Kurz.Film.Zuckerl at Filmbühne Waidhofen/Ybbs. Current short films produced in Austria or by Austrian filmmakers will be screened on the big screen. Short films can be submitted to the festival until September 15, 2026. Afterwards, the Filmzuckerl association selects the best works from all submissions and compiles an evening-length short film program. The exact film program will be announced after the submission deadline closes. Two prizes will be awarded again as part of Kurz.Film.Zuckerl 2026. The main prize is presented by a prestigious expert jury consisting of editor Gernot Grassl, sound engineer Andreas Hamza, film critic Alexandra Zawia, documentary filmmaker Michael Reisecker, director Franziska Pflaum, and actress Judith Altenberger. Additionally, the cinema audience has the opportunity to vote for their favorite and award the audience prize provided by the City of Waidhofen/Ybbs.
