"If everything is cheese, you might as well sell it yourself" – with this motto, Sarah quits her supposed dream job as an advertising copywriter in Vienna just before burnout and begins an internship with Swiss cheesemakers Jumi. In her culinary memoir "Who the f*** is Heidi?" she shares her personal, honest, and witty account of her adventurous journey, which takes her to meditative Emmental aging cellars, legendary markets, some of London's finest restaurants, and ever closer to herself. Sarah Satt, born in Graz, worked as an advertising copywriter and studied at the University of Gastronomic Sciences in Piedmont, founded by Slow Food, learning from farmers and restaurateurs from around the world. Today she helps companies tell compelling stories and works as a culinary editor for media and cookbooks. Her debut novel "Mise en Place" was published in 2021. Eva Scharnagl, aka the Cheese Heroine, turned to gastronomy after completing her school exams. Following her training as a certified cheese sommelier in 2011 and a brief venture into the wine world, the native of Wachau fulfilled her dream of opening her own cheese shop in Krems in 2021. There she combines Austrian soft cheeses and international cheese specialties with carefully selected wines and homemade chutneys. Between the reading passages, the two discuss finding their own paths, self-efficacy – and the role cheese plays in it all. Following the event, the Cheese Heroine will serve a specially curated cheese selection.
