There, at Sin-é Cafe, Mark honed his craft and performed alongside the best, including the late Jeff Buckley. Time Out NY wrote: "His delicate songs about love and defiance evoke Richard Thompson and John Lennon." With six studio and three live albums, touring and live performances remain Mark's life force. Geary's sound is simple and straightforward. He treats his songs with characteristic honesty. His lyrics cut to the core, revealing a life marked by human emotional vulnerability, failed relationships, tenderness, pain, redemption, longing and farewell. Geary has performed with diverse musicians including Glen Hansard, John Prine, Joe Strummer, Elvis Costello, The Pretenders, Coldplay and The Frames, as well as on extensive headline tours across Europe, the US and Switzerland. He has composed complete film scores for three films and is represented with numerous songs in films and television broadcasts. Mark's new album "In The Time Of Locusts" was released in February 2024, recorded in his cabin in the woods with the help of Ruth O'Mahony Brady, Glen Hansard, Dave Hingerty, Dave and Karl Odlum.
