Strandgut auf der Schönbrunn: SURFER JOE (Live) & Not So Easy (DJ)

Due to renovation work originally planned for this year, we started looking for alternative venues at the beginning of the year – and this led to a cooperation that we want to try out and celebrate now, even though the renovations have been postponed to next year: Strandgut at Schönbrunn – and everyone is invited! Our first musical guest in this setting is SURFER JOE: Surfer Joe has been active in the surf scene since the mid-90s and has made a name for himself as a musician and co-organizer of the Surfer Joe Summer Festival. He currently plays over 100 concerts worldwide per year (touring through Europe, Japan and the USA among others), which makes him probably the most active contemporary surf musician. With his sound and energy, he stands in the tradition of the California surf scene of the early 1960s, but through his very own style, he is far more than a mere copy of old heroes like Dick Dale or Eddie & The Showmen. His songs are extremely melodic, very catchy and highly recognizable; his live shows are energetic, dynamic and packed with signature surf reverb sounds.
