In SYNKOPE, the concluding fourth part of KOLLAPSOLOGY about collapsing systems, the audience is simultaneously protagonist and performer. As strangers, they sit facing each other around "campfires" in Euripides' cave and engage in dialogue. What can be said about society in this process will be sonically reflected in the proceedings. This collective composition between play and art, between language music and conference, gives those present the opportunity to reflect on the phenomenon of society with unknown others and to escape the feeling of powerlessness – which is the German word for "synkope" – of not being heard. Kollapsologie IV: SYNKOPE composes all audience conversations into a polyphonic sound structure, in which pauses are inserted that make audible what would otherwise disappear. WORLD PREMIERE * Care tickets are available for those who cannot easily afford it right now. No proof required. Booking must be made by email to ticket@mttw.at at the latest one day before the performance (24 hours).
