Since 1992, DJ Makossa and MC Sugar B have stood for refined electronic dance music that keeps everyone on the dance floor. Makossa has been DJing since the early 1980s and is one of the defining figures of the Vienna electronic and club scene. Together with Sugar B, he celebrated the legendary DJ mix show "Swound Sound" – a blend of deep, dub, funk, disco and electronic music that has had cult status since the early 1990s (formerly on Ö3, later on FM4). He has also released music and remixes, including as the duo Makossa & Megablast – with influences from house, techno, Afro-beats and more. "Swound Sound" is one of the longest-running radio DJ mix shows worldwide. MC and long-time companion Sugar B plays a central role, bringing life to the DJ sets with his relaxed commentary, witty remarks and MC contributions.
