90 Years of People & Work at Linz Tobacco Factory (1935-2025) The (interactive) exhibition takes place at the "Marktplatz" (CASABLANCA House, entrance B1, barrier-free or via spiral staircase) and along the Peter Behrens Band. It is freely accessible and free of charge. Opening hours: Weekdays 09:00–17:00, Saturday 10:00–16:00, Sunday/public holidays: closed Visitors of all ages are welcome. The exhibition can be visited with children (accompanied). The exhibition is wheelchair accessible (ramp at the main entrance of CASABLANCA House, then to the lift). There are no fixed guided tours. Immerse yourself in the fascinating history of this unique place, whose roots trace back to the woolen goods factory (1672–1850) and where smoking and chewing tobacco has been produced since 1850. From 1929, the buildings we know today were gradually constructed (architects: Peter Behrens and Alexander Popp). On November 12, 1935, the newly built Linz Tobacco Factory commenced operations.
