SCREAM were founded around 1980 in Bailey's Crossroads/Virginia, a census-designated place near Washington D.C., where founding members still active in the band today—brothers Pete (vocals, guitar) and Franz Stahl (guitar), plus bassist Skeeter Thompson—checked out the punk and hardcore scene, plugged into it, and subsequently helped define it. From their stunning debut "Still Screaming" (1982, Dischord Records) to "D.C. Special" (2023), they've released seven sovereign, top-tier albums. SCREAM are far more than "the band where Dave Grohl played before Nirvana"—their hardcore-punk is highly musical, loaded with attitude and soul, rocking without ever becoming rock-oriented. Last but not least, they're an excellent live band, as evidenced by two live albums. Welcome to Vienna—THE LEGENDARY SCREAM-TEAM! DIM PROSPECTS from Vienna play hard- and heart-hitting punk with a weakness for beautiful melodies. Their influences lie somewhere between various highly revered Hamburg label releases and bands like Leatherface, Iron Chic, or Hüsker Dü. And their many previous bands naturally shine through again and again. With "Abscheu und Neugier," probably the best German-language punk album of 2025 comes from Austria. DIM PROSPECTS shine with clever, sharp lyrics, great songwriting, and a remarkable feel for melody. 7 SIOUX love SCREAM and the whole phenomenal Dischord Records crew, and DIM PROSPECTS adore these four Sioux! Also because of the great "late-period" works from all involved—"DC Special" (SCREAM), "Abscheu & Neugier" (DIM PROSPECTS),
