The new collection exhibition focuses entirely on the city's concentrated history. The newly renovated ground floor of the Nordico is the only place in Linz where the city's history is told compactly across eight chapters. Here, 2,500 years of Linz become experienceable in fast-forward. The new format brings together formative events of the city in various media and shows its development from a Celtic settlement to a state capital, from a major traffic hub to an industrial center, and finally to a self-determined cultural city. In doing so, various influences on events—such as the location on the Danube or changing political ideologies—become visible. With plenty of space for further immersion and lingering, this journey through the chronicle of the state capital offers something new for everyone.
