LBT are working on new material for their acclaimed techno set: After a creative venture into the abstract and a change of drummers, the trio returns to its roots – with fresh colours, new forms and their signature pulsating drive. Techno – alive, hypnotic, completely acoustic: piano, double bass and drums replace computers and synths. Sometimes lyrical, sometimes minimal, then driving and industrial again; LBT's sound is multifaceted, yet always propelled by a pulsating kick drum. Their music is a journey inward, inviting both dreaming and ecstatic dancing. Rooted in modern jazz, the trio takes their love of improvisation seriously: delicate phrasing or plectrum plucking, caressing or virtually deconstructing the double bass, while the drums explore every nuance between subtle rustling and powerful groove.
