With virtuosity, sensitivity, and a keen sense of rhythm, Sina Shaari and Claudio Spieler build bridges between different musical worlds. Oud player and guitarist Sina Shaari draws from classical Persian music while incorporating influences from classical, jazz, world music, chamber music, and rock. Percussionist Claudio Spieler blends sound languages from South Indian and Afro-Cuban music with flamenco, jazz, and even Icelandic folk – a broad musical horizon that keeps the sound in constant motion. In their interplay, this sonic space expands significantly: with internationally renowned setar player and composer Massoud Shaari, another voice deeply rooted in Persian tradition joins the ensemble. His musical language is lyrical, multi-layered, and marked by great improvisational clarity – opening additional sonic depths and colors for the ensemble. The result is a trio that moves beyond fixed genre boundaries: a vibrant, open-ended sonic body where different traditions meet and merge. The starting point is theme-based original compositions that leave ample room – for spontaneous dialogues, improvised encounters, and individual sound languages where past and present flow naturally together.
