Nichtseattle is one of the most extraordinary songwriters of our time and, especially since the release of her double album "HAUS" in April 2024, has become an indispensable part of the cultural landscape: Katharina Kollmann aka Nichtseattle. Few artists manage to weave the political and personal into their songs as movingly as she does. In her life, she is a songwriter, choir director, and founder of a collective housing project. Her music spans folk and indie rock. She draws equally naturally from the work of East German songwriters like Gerhard Schöne and the American sound of Pixies. There are no excuses in Nichtseattle's music, no small talk, no fake eroticism and pseudo-sentimentality, no tinsel and no frills. "(...) But if you can handle the raw rawness of Kollmann's soul construction site, then it's the most beautiful, warmest and most uninhibited home far and wide," writes Andreas Borcholte enthusiastically in Der Spiegel about her songs. Band lineup: Katharina Kollmann – vocals, guitar; Sönke Torpus – guitar, background vocals; Juliane Graf – bass, background vocals; Sebastian Albin – drums; Gregor Lener – flugelhorn.
