After more than three decades away from the stage, a band returns that once set out with passion, courage and big dreams to conquer the music world: Sawadee is back – and with them returns a sound that touches, inspires and invites reflection. Founded in 1988 by Edi Reininger, Viktor Scheiber, Rudolf Winglhofer and Max Kral, Sawadee was more than just a band from the start. The four musicians consciously decided to leave their familiar paths behind to devote themselves entirely to music. With their first song "Fly High" they sent a clear message: this is about emotion, freedom and the courage to forge your own path. Followed by tracks like "Love and Dreams", "Believe In", "What's Going Wrong" and "Tell Me", which quickly showed that Sawadee had a knack for catchy melodies and profound lyrics. But as often happens in life, the musicians' paths diverged in 1992. Each tried to develop in their own way, some as solo artists. Yet their time together remained unforgettable – as did the special musical chemistry that defined Sawadee. More than 30 years later, in 2025, they had a chance reunion. And suddenly it was there again: the energy, the connection, the passion for music. It quickly became clear that this story wasn't over yet. The decision was made – Sawadee returns to the stage. Now it's finally happening: on July 23 and 24, 2026, the band celebrates their big comeback at Tonkeller in Kunsthaus Horn. Two evenings devoted entirely to honest, handmade music. Sawadee brings back not only their well-known songs, but also new ideas, mature perspectives and a palpable joy in making music together. Sawadee
