About the exhibition
In 1975, lawyer, art collector and patron Walther Kastner donated his art collection to the state of Upper Austria. Additional donations followed after his death and that of his widow. In addition to medieval sculptures and paintings spanning from the Baroque through the Biedermeier period to the turn of the century, the initial donation already included a significant collection of approximately 110 drawings and prints.
