Forests are an important part of our lives—as habitats for countless species, places of longing for humans, objects of art and natural science, and as a resource. The exhibition "Waldreich. The Forest and Us!" explores the multifaceted and evolving relationship between humans and forests from the Stone Age to the present through objects from Upper Austria's state collections. It invites visitors to engage with the topic using all their senses. How we perceive forests and interact with them tells us much about our relationship with nature in general. Designed as a family exhibition, it addresses the following questions: How has the forest changed? How does it inspire people, and what current research is being conducted on this subject? The exhibition offers numerous opportunities to actively and participatively engage with the topic of forests. The family exhibition "Waldreich. The Forest and Us!" is accompanied by a comprehensive cultural mediation program.
